Military Forest Enterprises were a state economic organization responsible for the management of forest estates owned by the Czechoslovak state and administered by the Ministry of National Defence. The enterprises were established in the late 1920s and throughout the 1930s operated as a network of forest administrations, districts, and directorates subordinated to the Ministry of National Defence.
Employees of the Military Forest Enterprises were civilian personnel of the Ministry. Although some categories wore official service uniforms, they were not members of the armed forces and did not hold military ranks. Their functional titles and insignia were regulated by internal ministerial regulations and had a corporate rather than military character.
