National Association of the State Police - ANPS (1988 since)

The Associazione Nazionale della Polizia di Stato (ANPS) is a nationwide, non-profit association bringing together former and serving members of the Italian State Police, as well as supporting members. Founded in the post-war period, the association aims to preserve the traditions, history, and professional identity of the Polizia di Stato. ANPS maintains its own system of formal uniforms, used exclusively for ceremonial and representational purposes. These uniforms feature distinctive collar tabs, insignia, and functional markings that indicate association offices and responsibilities rather than police service ranks.
The design and use of these insignia are strictly regulated by internal decrees and reflect the organizational structure of the association at national, regional, and local levels.
