The badge is round, convex, lens-shaped, with a diameter of 40 mm. It is made of tombac with a thickness of 1.5 mm. The edge, 5 mm wide, is blue and features a golden inscription: “CRIMINAL SERVICE” (in Czech: “KRIMINÁLNÍ SLUŽBA”, in Slovak: "KRIMINÁLNA SLUŽBA").
At the beginning and end of the inscription, there is a small star. A black registration number on a golden background is placed below the inscription. The state emblem (24 mm high) is in the center. On both sides of the state emblem on a white background are golden outlines of two linden leaves. The surface is coated with a layer of transparent polyester. The badge is adapted for attachment.
