Svatopluk Guards - SG (1941)
Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
Svatopluk Guards
Svatoplukovy gardy (SG)
04.1941 - 12.1941
The Svatopluk Guards were a small paramilitary organization active in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia during the early years of World War II. Formed within the context of Czech fascist movements, they aimed to support nationalist and authoritarian ideas aligned with Nazi Germany. The organization adopted a military-style structure, including ranks, uniforms, and insignia, inspired in part by German paramilitary groups such as the SA. However, the Guards remained relatively limited in size and influence, and their activities were often constrained by the occupying authorities. Today, they are primarily of historical interest as an example of collaborationist and extremist movements in wartime Central Europe.
